The relationships and attachments that we develop in our early years can have a significant impact on our wellbeing and shape how we interact in our adult life.  This workshop introduces Attachment as a therapeutic modality and how this can begin to be integrated into your work with clients.

 

Workshop Length : 1 hour (approximate)

 

  • 45 minutes taught content
  • 10-15 minutes independant activity

 

What is covered:

 

  • An overview of the history of Attachment Theory
  • What are attachment styles and how these present within clients
  • How each attachment style may present in the therapy room
  • Ways in which you can work therapeutically with your clients attachment styles
  • Ways in which you can identify a clients attachment style, including a tool to help with this
  • Discussion of the importance of a therapist's attachment style

 

A certificate of completion is included with this session.
